Undergraduate Program

Applied Science Minor

Currently, Applied Science does not offer an undergraduate degree or major. However, many courses are suitable for undergraduate students of physics, mathematics, chemistry, computer science and biology. While these courses may be taken as electives, a minor in Applied Science is offered with two tracks: Materials Science or Bioengineering. Required credits: 18 hours

Core requirements: Students must take 6 courses (18 credits), which include 3 credits in research.

Other Undergraduate Tracks

  • EPAD (Engineering Physics and Applied Design), a cross-disciplinary track between the Applied Science and the Physics Departments.
  • CAMS (Computational & Applied Mathematics & Statistics) program, an interdisciplinary program between Applied Science, Biology, Economics and Mathematics. Both the CAMS Mathematical Biology major and minor include several Applied Science courses.
